TMX Invitational 2026

Welcome to the inaugural TMX Invitational, the first annual martial arts tournament hosted by Zimmerman's Freestyle Martial Arts in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Our mission is to create a professionally organized event where martial artists of all ages, experience levels, schools, organizations, and styles can come together to compete in an atmosphere of respect, sportsmanship, and excellence.

The TMX Invitational offers a full weekend of competition featuring Traditional Forms, Weapons, Team Demonstration, Synchronized Teams, Mega Teams, Submission Grappling (Nogi - Sub ONLY), Pankation, and Point Sparring. Competitors will also have the opportunity to learn from accomplished guest instructors through exclusive seminar experiences.

As a first-year event, we are committed to delivering a tournament that is organized, welcoming, and competitor focused. Whether you're stepping onto the competition floor for the first time or you're a seasoned martial artist, our goal is to provide a fair, enjoyable, and memorable experience for every competitor.

TRAIN WITH UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT NICK “BLUE COLLAR” KLEIN

Take your martial arts to the next level with an exclusive 2-Hour MMA Seminar led by UFC Middleweight Nick “Blue Collar” Klein at the inaugural TMX Invitational 2026.

Fighting out of Pura Vida BJJ & MMA in Milwaukee, Nick earned his UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series with a 37-second rear-naked-choke submission. A former Caged Aggression Middleweight Champion and Wisconsin state finalist in wrestling, Nick brings a well-rounded background in wrestling, grappling, submissions, striking, and professional MMA competition.

This hands-on seminar gives martial artists the opportunity to train directly with an active UFC fighter while exploring the techniques, concepts, strategies, and competitive mindset required to perform at the professional level.

By registering for the TMX Invitational, competitors acknowledge and agree to abide by the Official Competition Rules.

Competitor Quick Guide No-Gi Submission Grappling

Round-robin format
Submission-only competition
Youth: 1 × 3-minute round
Adults: 1 × 5-minute round
Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced divisions

Pankration

Tournament bracket format
Three (3) one-minute rounds
No head contact
No knees or elbows
Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced divisions

Point Sparring

Single-elimination bracket
One (1) two-minute running clock round
Punch = 1 Point
Kick = 2 Points
Seven (7) point spread wins
No head contact for competitors 17 & under

Three judges for standard divisions. Five judges for runoff rounds and Grand Championship divisions.

Team Performance

Synchronized: 2–5 competitors
Demo Team: Minimum 8 competitors
Mega Team: Minimum 10 competitors

Demo Team and Mega Team registration is $150 per team. The Head Team Member is responsible for registering the team.

TMX Grand Championship Showcase

Only first-place competitors from qualifying divisions advance to the runoff rounds.

Only runoff winners advance to the TMX Grand Championship Showcase.
