* Note: during the horse show season (March – June 2 , Sept & Oct) we have two horse shows a month and an occasional martial arts competition, affecting students riding with us on the weekends. These sessions will be rescheduled. Charter school students and parents interested in a field trip to the horse shows are welcome to join us. Missed lessons due to bad weather or student illness will be rescheduled.

Evon & Rickashay on a Film Job

Intern & Student of Bill Cameron

In 2006 Evon started riding under internationally renown horseman, Bill Cameron. Since then she has helped train many horses under Bill as an assistant. She has given riding lessons since 2014. She knows how to read horses and understands what makes them tick. She has been certified under Bill in Groundwork & Colt starting. These skills help keep the students safe. She is currently assisting, riding, and giving lessons for Bill Cameron.

EXCA Competitor & Hall of Famer

Evon is an Extreme Cowboy Racing Association (EXCA) Hall of Fame Inductee, and was a carded EXCA Judge for a short time, she has been involved in EXCA since 2008 and has been competing since 2013.

This Extreme Cowboy Racing team, Evon and Rickashay, won the 2014 EXCA South Pacific Regional Championship and the 2018 EXCA California State Championship – Pro Division

HiDha Board Member

President- She led the Hi Desert Horseman’s Association as President for four years helping them to streamline their show process with an online presence and digital signup platform.

Martial Artist & Assistant Instructor

Fun Fact – Evon competes in tournaments and holds titles in Kata/Forms with SMA (Sport Martial Arts) and Toronto’s International Tournament of Champions. She is a student and assistant instructor under 5th don Renshi Matt Erolin who trains in a unique style which he calls American Freestyle Karate/Kashotaedo (his style mixed martial arts include Filipino-Escrima, Japanese-Shotakan, Korean-Hapkido, Krav Maga & Kickboxing influence)

Evon offers students assistance in creating a fitness strategy to help improve their strength and flexibility in riding.
