LCCR is Working Towards Keeping Kids in Martial Arts

At Learn Compete Connect Repeat, wellbeing is at the forefront of what we’re working together towards. Our program is designed to provide aid to kids who have dropped out of martial arts or who are struggling to continue their training due to financial difficulties. We want these kids to be able to fulfill their full potential and stay in martial arts so they can learn important life skills. Learn more about the positive impact we have and join us in bringing about positive change.

Who We Are

How it began

Here at Learn Compete Connect Repeat, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Hello, we are Amberly Godoy, PsyD, MS, MA and Fire Captain Nico Godoy. During the pandemic, our 11-year old daughter Addely, saw a lot of kids dropping out of martial arts due to financial hardship. Addely has trained in taekwondo for 6 years. She expressed to us how sad she would be if she had to give up martial arts and she wanted to know how she could help other kids. Since then she has been determined to make a difference in this world. We decided to create this non-profit to assist those who have been affected by the pandemic. The one thing that makes a lot of today’s youth happy is sports. If they are forced to quit then they may suffer both mentally and physically. Not to mention how easy it is to go down the wrong path when a teen has too much free time. Through all of our endeavors we hope to keep as many kids as possible in martial arts so they can continue on the path of excellence. Martial arts is a very valuable sport which promotes overall well-being for children and teenagers. Please help us continue our efforts by donating to LCCR, Inc.

What We Do

Keeping kids active in martial arts

Helping as many kids as possible stay in martial arts is the most important goal of our organization. Martial arts builds mentally, emotionally, and physically strong kids by giving them confidence, responsibility, communication, and leadership skills. These life skills will help them develop into healthy adults later in life. Let’s keep them active in martial arts before it’s too late.

Financial Assistance

Commitment to help others

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for providing assistance to those in need. We want to provide kids with training equipment, gear, uniforms, tuition costs, registration fees, coaching lessons, competition entry, and much more. Monthly tuition for martial arts can cost $150-275 a month depending on how many classes you take. Some registration fees just to sign up for martial arts can also be up to $500 for some studios. If a child needs private coaching for more help that is around $150 per hour. Lastly, other students may enjoy competing in local or National tournaments this can range in price to upwards of $1,000 per competition. Martial arts is a very valuable sport and one that is taking the world by storm. However, the cost involved are just not feasible for many families. A child’s desire to partake in taekwondo, karate, or jujitsu can be out of their reach due to financial constraints. Whatever a kid needs to help them continue on their martial arts journey, or get them back on the mats after the hardships endured from the pandemic, those are our main goals.

Get back on the Mats

One Step at a Time

At Learn Compete Connect Repeat, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the difficulties of getting back in the game. The pandemic took everyone by surprise. Many families found themselves cutting out youth sports because of the high costs. Let’s get these kids back on the mats, back in the studios, and back in tournaments. With a little help they can continue their martial arts training. Whether it’s in a studio or in competition, we should helps kids transition back in martial arts like they were before the pandemic hit. We don’t want them to give up on their goals. Kids should LEARN in class, COMPETE at tournaments, CONNECT with others for socialization, and REPEAT the cycle so they can continue to grow. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support by donating anything you see fit. All donations are tax-deductible.

Equipment

Let’s get the ball rolling

Martial arts can be a very costly sport. Kids need a lot of different gear, equipment, and training tools. For example, sparring gear can be up to $600 for a full set. All students must wear uniforms as well. These can range from $150-300 per child. There are also martial arts training tools such as Bo Staffs, Nunchucks, Kamas, Escrima sticks, and swords which are $100 each on average. Monthly Tuition is not the only cost in martial arts. Therefore, if a child needs a uniform, gear, or training tool we want to be able to purchase this for them.

Your kindness to donate to this 501(c)(3) organization will help kids stay in martial arts so they will not have to give up on their dreams. LCCR and the kids it helps are extremely grateful for your generosity. Let their dreams take flight!

ALL DONATIONS ARE 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
